British Columbia has recently announced its new invitations under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP). Their latest draw mainly focuses on the highly skilled candidates who apply for Canada PR.
However, the British Columbia draw has invited candidates who are eligible to enhance the province's economic growth. This BC PNP latest draw is the second draw of the year, due to federal government nomination restrictions. Before those restrictions, the BC province used to conduct their draw on a weekly basis.
The latest BC PNP draw on October 2, 2025, issued 474 invitations to candidates with a minimum score of 140, including 114 with high-wage job offers in NOC TEER 0, 1, 2 to 3 occupations.
114 candidates were invited who:
The remaining 360 candidates were invited with the minimum score of 140.
The latest BC PNP draw on October 2, 2025, issued 11 invitations under the Entrepreneur Base Stream to candidates with a minimum score of 123 points.
Only candidates with qualified registrations submitted before the draw date were considered.
The BC Skills Immigration Registration Pool (SIRS) is a points-based system used by the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) to manage and select skilled workers for provincial nomination. It assists the province in identifying applicants who will be best positioned to address B.C.'s labour market and economic requirements.
This is how it operates:
1. Create a Profile
2. Get a Score
After registering, applicants get a SIRS score based on several factors:
3. Enter the Pool
4. Invitation to Apply (ITA)
5. Nomination and PR Application
This BC PNP draw is particularly significant for skilled workers, entrepreneurs, and graduates who wish to make British Columbia PNP their home. Every draw represents the labour market requirements and economic priorities of the province, so the chosen occupations tend to be in sought-after fields.
For example, invitations under the Skills Immigration stream are directed at candidates who possess the skills and experience that BC employers need urgently.
Additionally, the draw facilitates a smooth transition for international graduates and skilled workers from temporary to permanent status, supporting the province's workforce retention efforts. Entrepreneur invitations, however, foster regional economic growth and entrepreneurship.
In essence, each BC PNP draw not only provides an unambiguous view of current selection patterns but also enables candidates to optimize their application strategies, such as enhancing their CRS scores, refreshing their profile, or focusing on priority occupations to improve their prospects in future draws.
