Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) invites 367 immigrants in the latest provincial draw for provincial nomination for Canada permanent resident visa.
Most invited applicants may be eligible for the Manitoba Skilled Worker Stream. These are temporary foreign workers and foreign graduate students who have job offers in specialized occupations in the province.
Immigrants were also invited from two other MPNP immigration streams - International Education Stream and Skilled Worker Overseas.
34 Express entry candidates were also invited in the latest round of invitations. With a provincial nomination, 600 CRS points are awarded to express entry profile. These many points effectively guarantee an Invitation to Apply (ITA) to apply for a Canada PR Visa to the Immigration, Refugees & Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
Basics on Manitoba PNP
Manitoba has several immigration programs designed to attract international talent to settle in the province. The provincial government manages its immigration through the MPNP, which handles immigration applications to the federal government. Canadian provinces cannot grant permanent resident status, but they can assist an application by issuing provincial nominations.
If you wish to benefit from a Manitoba nomination, you must register an expression of interest with the MPNP. This allows you to receive an LAA through the Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Worker Overseas streams.
Manitoba then ranks applicants out of 1,000 points based on their human capital factors and their connection to the province.
The highest-ranked profiles are then invited to apply through frequently held provincial draws.
