British Columbia continues to strengthen its position as a preferred destination for skilled immigrants seeking to settle in Canada.
However, through its Skills Immigration pathways, the province selects candidates who can contribute to economic growth, support key industries, and address evolving labour market needs.
Additionally, in the latest BC PNP draw issued 602 invitations in the Innovate category. These selections represented the province's continuous efforts to draw talent in a field that is vital to its workforce like innovation.
The latest draws also provide qualified professionals with additional opportunities for permanent residence in Canada through targeted provincial pathways.
The latest BC PNP draw demonstrates the province's continuous effort to attract skilled immigrants who can contribute to long-term development.
Here is a detailed breakdown of the latest British Columbia PNP draw, including minimum scores, selected categories, and invitations issued under the Skills Immigration stream:

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) has got an additional 1,000 nominations from the federal government, increasing its 2026 allocation to 6,254 nominations. The province aims to use the full allocation by December 31, 2026.
BC PNP priorities 3 areas, including Care, Build, and Build. Build focuses on nine essential skilled trades that support infrastructure and construction. While CARE covers jobs in healthcare, education, child care, and veterinary care. Innovate will continue to draw highly qualified experts and entrepreneurs from a variety of industries via high economic impact invitations.
Moreover, the program will give preference to French-speaking instructors, certified early childhood educators, medical professionals, and qualified veterinary personnel. It is anticipated that candidates who work outside of Metro Vancouver will receive at least 35% of nominations.
Additionally, the BC PNP has also closed the Entry Level and Semi-Skilled streams and will not launch new student streams. International graduates can continue to explore existing pathways. Moreover, they are eligible for technological jobs through selected high economic impact invitations.
Since 2022, BC PNP has nominated thousands of workers across childcare, healthcare, construction, veterinary care, and other priority sectors. Over 38% of Skills Immigration candidates are employed in local communities.
