To qualify for the British Columbia Entrepreneur Immigration draw, candidates must meet specific requirements under either the Base or Regional category.
Base Stream Requirements
Regional Stream Requirements
The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program has identified specific business types that are ineligible for the program, including bed and breakfasts, hobby farms, home-based businesses, payday loan businesses, pawnbrokers, tanning salons, DVD rental stores, coin-operated laundries, automated car wash operations, and companies selling used goods unless they provide value-added services.
Candidates must register online through the BC PNP Online User Portal and pay a $300 CAD registration fee. Registrations are scored based on human capital factors such as work experience, education, and language proficiency, as well as economic factors, including the commercial viability of the business proposal and its economic benefits for the province.
If invited to apply, candidates have up to four months from the date of invitation to submit a complete application, with a $3,500 CAD application fee. A British Columbia PNP authorized accounting firm will review and verify personal net worth before application submission.
Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee an invitation to apply, as only the highest-scoring registrants from the qualified pool receive invitations, according to the CRS score calculator.
