Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has released its latest monthly update on backlog statistics. It has been reported that 2.4 million applicants are currently under processing. The statistics highlight both the current impact on applicants and the future of immigration to Canada.
Canada Immigration Backlog 2024 has shown a drop of 3.73% in applications compared to the previous month. Clearing Backlogs are a true testament to Canada’s continued commitment to its immigration policies.
The backlog has impacted PR, temporary residence, and citizenship applications. Here are the key insights:-
The highest drop was seen in temporary residence applications, paving the way for TRs to immigrate to Canada.
