Understanding Cut-Off Scores with the Manitoba PNP Calculator

The Manitoba PNP Calculator is a point award system that assesses candidates' merit according to age, education, work experience, language skills, adaptability, and connection to Manitoba.

In this draw, the lowest candidate scored 612 points. It is therefore important for applicants to continue maintaining strong profiles with competitive scores. Candidates who scored above 612 but were not selected may have:

  • Failed to provide a valid language test number (English/French).
  • Given language test results that were expired.
  • Failed to enter a valid ITA number received through a recruitment initiative.

The MPNP reminds all applicants to carefully update their EOI profiles and ensure that all details are updated before each draw.

Special Notes from Manitoba PNP

The MPNP wants to remind you that:

  • Only candidates directly invited under strategic recruitment initiatives were considered.
  • Applicants working in regulated occupations must prove full licensing in Manitoba. While some have been selected under this draw, their full applications can still be rejected for non-compliance with licensing requirements.
  • Candidates are strongly encouraged to examine the comprehensive help text within the EOI System so that they do not make any errors that would prevent their selection.

Why are Strategic Recruitment Initiatives Important?

The Manitoba PNP strengthens its goal of workforce and community development through targeted initiatives for recruitment.

  • Employer Services: Ensures that businesses in Manitoba are not left without skilled professionals who fill positions in labour shortages.
  • Francophone Community: To ensure bilingualism and further enhancement of French-speaking communities in the province.
  • Regional Communities: It addresses the unique needs of the workforce in non-Winnipeg areas and in rural and regional places.
  • Ethnocultural Communities: Directing themselves towards settlement in communities with common cultural values, i.e., improving the integration and retention of them.

This will ensure that Manitoba attracts skilled workers and, at the same time, retains them by linking with already established support networks.

Manitoba’s Immigration Strategy

This latest draw is yet another symbol of Manitoba PNP increasing commitment to ensuring the strategic attraction of skilled immigrants that match the priorities of its labor market for the long run, as well as community needs.

The province does not just strengthen its workforce through this but also diversifies and integrates cultural outcomes. In this way, the balanced immigration strategy of Manitoba places newcomers in very good positions to excel in the province and make positive contributions to their local communities as well as the economy.
