How do Applicants Apply For the Manitoba Draw?

Applicants who are interested in the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw must first meet the eligibility criteria of one of Manitoba’s immigration streams. These streams are involved: Skilled Worker, Skilled Worker Overseas, or International Education.

The general application process includes the following steps:

  • Create a Profile in MPNP: Eligible candidates need to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) online system. The profile should include personal information, work experience, education, language proficiency, and other details relevant to the selection criteria.
  • Wait for a Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA): Based on the points scored in the EOI system, Manitoba periodically conducts draws and issues invitations to the highest-ranked candidates. Those selected receive a Letter of Advice to Apply.
  • Submit a Full Application: Once invited, candidates must submit a complete Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program application, along with supporting documents, within the specified deadline.
  • Nomination for Permanent Residency: Approved candidates receive a provincial nomination, which allows them to apply to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for permanent residency in Canada.
