The province of Manitoba continues to invite skilled candidates through its provincial immigration program to support labour market needs and strengthen the local economy. In the latest draw held on March 12, 2026, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program invited 46 skilled workers to apply for provincial nomination, bringing them one step closer to obtaining Canadian permanent residence.
This draw follows earlier invitation rounds conducted earlier in the year. In January 2026, the province issued 102 invitations to skilled candidates, and another 101 were issued in February 2026. With the latest round of invitations, the total number of candidates invited so far this year has reached 249.
The latest Manitoba PNP draw was held on March 12, 2026, under the Skilled Worker Stream, issuing 46 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) for Permanent Residence.
The number of invitations is further divided into four different Invitation to Apply (ITA) under the strategic recruitment initiatives that are listed below:
| Category | Number of ITAs Issued |
| Employer Services | 17 |
| Ethnocultural Communities | 9 |
| Francophone Community | 12 |
| Regional Communities | 6 |
| Temporary Public Policy to Facilitate Work Permits for Prospective Provincial Nominee Program Candidates (TPP) | 2 |
Of the 46 Letters of Advice to Apply issued in this draw, 5 were issued to candidates who declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code.
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program helps skilled workers move to Canada by allowing the province of Manitoba to nominate candidates who have the skills and experience needed in the local labour market.
Through this program, the province selects qualified applicants who can contribute to economic growth and address workforce shortages across different sectors, particularly in areas listed under the Manitoba occupation in demand list, where skilled professionals are urgently needed.
Skilled workers can apply through several streams, including pathways for candidates already working in Manitoba and those applying from overseas. Applicants are typically assessed based on factors such as work experience, education, language proficiency, and their ability to settle successfully in the province.
Receiving a provincial nomination significantly improves an applicant’s chances of obtaining permanent residence in Canada. In many cases, nominated candidates can apply for Canada PR through the federal immigration system with a stronger application profile.
By regularly inviting skilled workers, the program helps employers find qualified talent while giving immigrants an opportunity to build long-term careers and settle permanently in Manitoba.
