On June 30, 2022 Manitoba held its 149th Provincial Nominee Program draw. The province issued a total of 348 Letter of Advice to Apply through MINP. The LAAs were issued to immigrant applicants through various streams of immigration under the Manitoba Immigrant Nominee Program. 

Applicants from the Skilled Workers in Manitoba category received a total of 186 LAAs with a minimum score of 773 points. 

Candidates who applied through the International Education Stream received 79 LAAs and applicants of Skilled Worker Overseas from the sub-stream of Strategic Recruitment Initiative received 83 LAAs with a minimum score point of 711. 

About Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream 

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP), a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) run by the province of Manitoba, is a collection of immigration streams known as Skilled Workers in Manitoba (SWM).Three immigration streams that are part of Manitoba's Skilled Workers program are aimed at foreign nationals who already have work experience or a job offer there and who have the qualifications and training needed to succeed in the province's labour market.

The Skilled Workers in Manitoba has the following sub streams of immigration:

• Manitoba Experience Pathway

The Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream has a pathway called Manitoba Experience Pathway. This route is intended for foreign nationals who are currently employed in Manitoba and have prior work experience there. Only candidates with the most competitive profiles are chosen for this stream, which is extremely competitive.

• Employer Direct Recruitment Pathway

The Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream has a pathway called Employer Direct Recruitment. Candidates that participated in an interview with the MPNP and an employer outside of Canada should follow this route. Candidates who are offered a position at one of these recruitment sessions will be given the opportunity to apply to the stream.

About Skilled Workers Overseas stream

The Manitoba Skilled Workers Overseas stream of the Skilled Workers Overseas Category focuses on foreign individuals who have the qualifications and international work experience necessary to contribute to the labour market in Manitoba and who can show a link to the region. Because of the high level of competition, this stream only accepts candidates who have the strongest resumes and have worked in one of Manitoba's In-Demand Occupations. 

The Manitoba Skilled Workers Overseas stream has the following pathways: 

• Manitoba Express Entry Pathway

The Manitoba Express Entry Pathway is a subset of the Skilled Workers Overseas Category in Manitoba that focuses on foreign nationals who have active Express Entry profiles and who also possess the qualifications and international work experience needed to contribute to the province of Manitoba's labour force. Because of the high level of competition, this stream only accepts candidates who have the strongest resumes and have worked in one of Manitoba In-Demand Occupations list.

• Manitoba Human Capital Pathway

The Manitoba Human Capital Pathway is a subset of Manitoba's Skilled Workers Overseas Category that focuses on foreign nationals with the qualifications and international work experience needed to contribute to the province of Manitoba's labour force. This stream is extremely competitive; it only accepts candidates with the strongest resumes and gives preference to those who have worked in one of Manitoba's In-Demand Occupations.

About International Education stream

Three paths of the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP), a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) run by the government of Manitoba, are included in the Manitoba International Education Stream (IES). The government of Manitoba's International Education Stream caters to foreign students who have recently completed a post-secondary program there.

• Career Employment Pathway

The Career Employment Pathway focuses on foreign nationals who have recently graduated from a Manitoba post-secondary institution and have an employment offer to work in a sought-after profession there.

• Graduate Internship Pathway

International graduates who have successfully completed a Mitacs Elevate or Accelerate internship and a Masters or PhD degree in Manitoba within the last three years are eligible to apply for the Manitoba Graduate Internship Pathway.

• Student Entrepreneur pathway 

The Manitoba Student Entrepreneur Pathway is aimed at international students who have recently graduated from a Manitoba post-secondary institution and who have at least six months of experience running a business there.
