Manitoba has once again strengthened its role in Canada’s immigration landscape with a fresh Provincial Nominee Program draw inviting skilled workers to apply for permanent residence.
In 2026, Manitoba welcomed 203 skilled workers who wanted to live and settle in the province. The latest Manitoba PNP draw highlights the province’s ongoing focus on attracting talent that supports local labour market needs and long-term economic growth.
By targeting skilled candidates with relevant work experience and strong settlement potential, Manitoba continues to offer a reliable pathway to Canada PR outside the highly competitive federal system.
The latest Manitoba PNP draw was held on February 26, 2026, under the Skilled Worker Stream, issuing 72 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) for Permanent Residence.
The number of invitations is further divided into four different Invitation to Apply (ITA) under the strategic recruitment initiatives that are listed below:
| Category | Number of ITAs Issued |
| Employer Services | 40 |
| Francophone Community | 5 |
| Regional Communities | 8 |
| Ethnocultural Communities | 12 |
| Temporary Public Policy to Facilitate Work Permits for Prospective Provincial Nominee Program Candidates (TPP) | 7 |
| Total | 72 |
Of the 72 Letters of Advice to Apply issued in this draw, 11 were issued to candidates who declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code.
The latest Manitoba PNP draw invited skilled workers who demonstrated strong ties to the province and the ability to contribute to its labour market.
Priority was given to candidates with relevant work experience in Manitoba in-demand occupations list, valid job offers from Manitoba employers, or previous connections, such as education or work experience in the province.
These factors help Manitoba select applicants who are more likely to settle successfully and meet long-term workforce needs.
This update matters because it reflects Manitoba’s continued preference for targeted, quality-driven selection over volume-based invitations. For Canada immigration candidates, it highlights the growing importance of provincial pathways over federal competition.
A Manitoba nomination significantly improves Canada PR chances and reduces dependence on high CRS scores. The draw also signals stable nomination activity for the year, giving skilled workers clarity, confidence, and a practical route to permanent residence through a province actively addressing labour shortages.
