Ontario has conducted a new Provincial Nominee Program draw, issuing thousands of invitations to candidates seeking Canadian PR. This latest Ontario draw targets skilled workers across key streams, reflecting the province’s continued demand for qualified talent.
Throughout the year, the Ontario PNP program invited 8,171 skilled candidates under the employer job offers streams, the Master Graduate stream and the PhD Graduate stream. This draw highlights the province’s strategic approach to selecting candidates with the right skills, experience, and potential.
With evolving CRS trends and program-specific requirements, this latest draw presents a valuable opportunity for eligible candidates to secure a provincial nomination and move closer to permanent residency in Canada.
The latest Ontario PNP draw was held on April 08, 2026. A total of 1,828 were issued across all streams, under the employer job offer, including the foreign worker stream, the international students stream, and the in-demand skills stream.

Ontario has conducted frequent draws under the PNP to respond quickly to changing labour market needs and to enhance the province's economic growth. Instead of relying on a few large rounds, the province uses multiple targeted draws to select the candidates who best match specific job shortages and economic priorities.
These draws are often stream-specific and occupation-focused, allowing Ontario to invite candidates based on the Ontario Occupation In-Demand List, particularly in sectors like healthcare, tech, skilled trades, and Francophone roles. This targeted approach ensures that employers get the right talent at the right time.
Regular draws also help manage application volumes efficiently and give candidates a better chance of receiving an invitation. By spreading invitations across the year, Ontario maintains a steady flow of skilled workers to support its economic growth and regional development.
