Sault Ste. Marie Unveils Designated Employers for Rural Immigration Pathway

Sault Ste. Marie has officially released its list of designated employers for the Rural Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP), marking a significant step forward in its efforts to attract skilled foreign workers and support community growth in Northern Ontario.

The RCIP is an employer-driven pathway to Canadian permanent residency, designed to address labour shortages in rural and northern communities. To be eligible, foreign nationals must secure a job offer from a designated employer in one of the community’s priority sectors and meet additional federal and community-specific requirements.
