Manitoba conducts frequent Expression of Interest (EOI) draws and invites candidates to submit a full application to the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). On December 14, 2023, Manitoba conducted its first EOI draw of the month. The previous invitation round was held on November 30, 2023.
This was also the first time Manitoba conducted an EOI draw where Skilled Workers in Manitoba were invited under the “Completed post-secondary study in Manitoba” category.
The Manitoba PNP latest draw held on December 14, 2023, saw invitations being issued to 283 candidates under three MPNP-managed streams.
Stream 1: Skilled Worker in Manitoba
Completed post-secondary study in Manitoba
Profiles declaring that the applicant or their spouse have completed post-secondary education in Manitoba were considered. Candidates selected in this draw must be able to provide documents that demonstrate that they or their spouse completed a post-secondary education program in Manitoba (i.e., diploma and transcript).
Stream 2: International Education Stream
Profiles that declared meeting International Education Stream eligibility requirements.
Stream 3: Skilled Worker Overseas
Profiles that declared being directly invited by the MPNP under a Strategic Recruitment Initiative.
Of the 283 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) issued in this draw, 20 were issued to candidates who declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code.
The Manitoba PNP draws are based on factors like Age, Education, Work Experience, Language Proficiency, and Connections to Manitoba – classified under the Manitoba PNP points calculator. Those who receive invitations can then apply for provincial nomination, enhancing their chances of obtaining a Canadian permanent residency under one of the federal immigration programs.
