Prince Edward Island (PEI) has released its anticipated invitation to apply (ITAs) schedule for 2026 on January 07, 2026. PEI PNP will invite candidates from the Expression of Interest (EOI) pool to submit an application to the PEI immigration program.
However, the number of applicants and the frequency of ITA draws across all streams are managed to maintain standard processing times to support Prince Edward Island PNP priorities. Furthermore, this anticipated ITA schedule is for general informational purposes only. PEI immigration do not guarantee that the draw will be released on the same day.
In the previous year, PEI conducted 14 draws, inviting 1,609 candidates across both the Labour & Express Entry Streams and the Business Work Permit Entrepreneur Stream.
This year, Prince Edward Island plans to conduct 12 Expression of Interest (EOI) draws to support the PNP's labour market and provincial economic needs.
Here is a quick overview of the PEI PNP draws held in 2026.
The PEI PNP draw enables the province to nominate individuals with the skills, experience, and qualifications needed to support its economic and labour market priorities. This PEI program targets skilled workers, international graduates, and entrepreneurs who wish to live and work in Prince Edward Island permanently.
The first step in most PEI PNP pathways is submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile. Candidates are assessed and ranked based on factors such as age, education, work experience, language proficiency, adaptability, and connections to Prince Edward Island. Those with competitive scores are placed into the EOI pool.
The PEI Office of Immigration conducts regular draws throughout the year and invites top-ranked candidates from the pool to submit a full provincial nomination application.
If approved, the applicant receives a provincial nomination, which significantly increases the chance to immigrate to Canada and obtain permanent residence.
Applicants aligned with Express Entry receive additional CRS points, while those applying through non-Express Entry streams do not. Final decisions on permanent residence are made by IRCC after federal review, including medical and security checks.
