British Columbia PNP Draw: 373 invited in the latest provincial draw

British Columbia invited 373 immigrant applicants in two Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draws that took place on June 8, 2021.

British Columbia has been running two separate rounds of invitations since February as part of its PNP program. A general draw and a second draw were targeting retail and wholesale managers as well as restaurant and foodservice managers. There are a large number of people registered in the BC PNP Skills Immigration Registration System with these two occupations, and the province seeks to balance needs across all sectors of the provincial labor market.

Applicants in the Skills Immigration (SI) and Express Entry BC (EEBC) stream of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) have been invited to the general draw.

More specifically, invitations were sent to those in the subcategories of skilled workers, international graduates as well as entry-level and semi-skilled subcategories of the SI and EEBC streams.

The minimum scores for this draw ranged from 76 to 93 points. A total of 323 candidates were invited.

The separate draw was also carried out in the SI and EEBC categories and targeted candidates whose profession falls under NOC 0621 or 0631. In this round, 50 immigrants were invited with a minimum score of 110 points.

So far this year, British Columbia has issued a total of 5,249 invitations through various BC PNP streams.

BC PNP has two immigration streams, Skills Immigration and Express Entry, both of which are divided into subcategories. These streams are managed through the British Columbia Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS). The candidate needs to create an account through SIRS. Once done, you will be given a score based on factors such as education, work experience, and language skills.

The top-rated candidates from each subcategory are then invited to apply for Provincial Nomination to apply for Permanent Residence when British Columbia conducts one of its regular draws.

Once you get nominated as an express entry candidate, you get additional 600 CRS points. These many points guarantee an ITA for Canada PR Visa in the next round of invitations.
