Canada Holds Latest Express Entry Draw for Healthcare and Social Services Occupations

Canada continues to address the labour shortage in the healthcare sector. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) once again invites thousands of candidates through the Express Entry draw for healthcare workers. This is the 2nd draw of the year for healthcare applicants and the 34th draw overall.

However, in 2026, Canada invited 8000 skilled candidates under the healthcare draw. In total, they have invited 89,067 skilled candidates to apply for Canada PR. For aspiring immigrants, this draw offers a faster and more focused pathway to Canadian permanent residence.

  • Have gained eligible work experience either in Canada or outside Canada.
  • Meet all additional requirements specified in the instructions for that particular Canada Express Entry program round.
