Latest PEI PNP draw invites 86 candidates to apply for PR

The Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) has conducted a new draw. This was the first invitation round conducted by PEI’s Office of Immigration in July.

This draw inlines with the PEI PNP draw schedule for 2024.

If you’ve been invited in the latest PEI PNP draw, you will receive a notification on your registered email, which will include your file number and instructions to apply for permanent residence (PR).

Latest PEI PNP Draw - Results

The latest PEI PNP draw held on July 19, 2024, invited a total of 84 candidates under the Business Work Permit Entrepreneur and Labour & Express Entry streams.

• Business Work Permit Entrepreneur: 2 invitations with a minimum score of 105.
• Labour & Express Entry: 84 invitations.

Who was invited?

Invitations were issued to:

• Candidates in the Healthcare and Construction sectors.
• Candidates with Work Permits expiring before the end of 2024 in the Manufacturing and Professional Services sectors.
• Candidates in the International Graduate stream with Work Permits expiring before the end of 2024.

PEI PNP Selection Attributes

The PEI Office of Immigration is currently selecting and prioritizing skilled workers in higher-demand sectors such as Healthcare, Trades, Childcare, and other key industries facing labour shortages. Individuals working in the sales and service sector may not receive an invitation to apply at this time.

The selection is based on one or more of the following:

• Language: English or French.
• Education: Level and field of education and where completed.
• Skill and work experience level.
• Strategic priorities: attributes that would address immediate labour market needs in PEI;
• Other factors relevant to employment prospects: Including but not limited to having a job offer in PEI and/or previous Canadian work experience.

The Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) helps skilled workers, entrepreneurs, and graduates immigrate to Prince Edward Island, Canada. The PEI PNP offers various streams, including those for skilled workers, international graduates, and business investors.

Currently, 80% of applications under the PEI PNP are being processed between 8 to 10 months.
