Canada has conducted a new Express Entry draw targeting Provincial Nominee Program candidates, issuing invitations to apply for permanent residence.
Today’s draw marks the 8th Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) round of the year and the twenty-first selection under Express Entry in 2026. PNP candidates have consistently received Invitations to Apply (ITAs) throughout the year, with regular rounds being conducted.
In fact, PNP-specific draws remain the most frequent among all draw types under the Express Entry system.
Canada released the latest Express Entry draw on April 13, 2026, inviting 324 candidates with a minimum CRS score of 786.
If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.
A detailed overview of Express Entry PNP draws in 2026 reflects Canada’s continued focus on selecting skilled talent through provincial nominations, with a total of 3,263 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) issued so far this year.
| Date | Number of ITAs | Minimum CRS Score |
| April 13, 2026 | 324 | 786 |
| March 30, 2026 | 356 | 802 |
| March 16, 2026 | 362 | 742 |
| March 02, 2026 | 264 | 710 |
| February 16, 2026 | 279 | 789 |
| February 03, 2026 | 423 | 749 |
| January 20, 2026 | 681 | 746 |
| January 05, 2026 | 574 | 711 |
To apply under a PNP-based Express Entry draw, you first need to create an Express Entry profile and enter the pool of candidates. After that, you must secure a nomination from a Canadian province or territory aligned with your skills and work experience.
Once you receive a provincial nomination, your CRS score increases significantly, improving your chances of immigrate to Canada and getting an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence. After receiving the ITA, you can submit your PR application along with the required documents within the given timeframe.
Staying updated on PNP streams and eligibility criteria is important for applying at the right time and maximizing your chances.
