Quebec has once again opened new opportunities for skilled workers by issuing thousands of invitations through its latest immigration selection round. The province continues to prioritize candidates who can contribute to its labour market while strengthening its French-speaking workforce.
Through the Qualified Worker Selection Program, Quebec invited more than 2,500 candidates to apply for permanent selection in February 2026. The draw targeted applicants across multiple streams, including highly skilled professionals, intermediate occupations, regulated professions, and exceptional talent.
This targeted approach reflects Quebec’s strategy to address labour shortages while ensuring selected candidates meet the province’s economic and language requirements.
Quebec immigration held its latest draw on February 26, 2026, inviting 2,549 skilled candidates under the Qualified Worker Selection Program.

Engineering and education professionals were also highlighted under priority occupation categories in Stream 1 exercises. Stream 4 focused on candidates with strategic expertise in fields identified by Ministère partners. It also targeted individuals with doctorate level education or equivalent exceptional achievement.
