Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued more invitations to apply (ITA) to the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Canadian Experience Class and Federal Skilled Trades Program through this round of invitations.
To qualify for an (ITA), candidates were required to have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 399. Notably, this was the 8th French-language category-based draw held in 2026.
Today's French-language proficiency draw has the lowest CRS cutoff draw since March 2026.
In the latest Express Entry draw, Immigration issued 5,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to candidates with French-language proficiency, providing a significant opportunity to apply for Canadian permanent residence.
IRCC has released the latest Express Entry draw on July 22, 2026, inviting 5,000 skilled candidates with a minimum CRS score of 399.
Draw Number: #429
If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.
Throughout the year, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued a total number of 104,612 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) under the various Express Entry draw categories:
| Types of Draw | No. of Invitations |
| Provincial Nominee Program | 6,450 |
| Canadian Experience Class | 45,250 |
| French-Language Proficiency | 40,500 |
| Healthcare and Social Services Occupations | 662 |
| Trades Occupations | 8,000 |
| Physicians with Canadian Work Experience | 750 |
| Senior Managers with Canadian Work Experience | 3,000 |
| Total | 104,612 |
IRCC continues to attract skilled professionals who are fluent in one of the two official languages, English or French. They can actively promote linguistic variety and economic progress as part of their long-term Canada immigration plan.
In order to support their French-speaking communities, a number of provinces, notably Ontario, New Brunswick, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island, actively encourage Francophone immigration alongside Quebec.
As of now Canada has issued a total 40,500 ITA’s in its French based Express Entry draw which clearly shows that Canada intends to solve the skilled labour shortage while attracting french- speaking candidates outside of Quebec and throughout its regions.
You can increase your chances of getting an Invitation to Apply (ITA) by keeping up with the most recent updates and keeping up to date Express Entry profile as the IRCC continues to hold category-based draws throughout 2026.
