Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) once again issued thousands of invitations to skilled candidates who want to apply for Canadian PR. Today's draw is the eighth under the CEC program, and the twenty-fifth Express Entry selection of 2026.
However, in the latest Express Entry draw, the CRS score decreased by 1 point, while the number of ITAs remained unchanged compared to the previous CEC draw.
So, as of now, Canada has invited 34,250 skilled candidates through the Canadian Experience Class (CEC).
IRCC held a latest Express Entry draw on April 28, 2026, issuing 2,000 ITAs to Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates. The minimum CRS score was 514.
If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.
Canada has conducted 8 CEC draws in 2026, issuing a total of 34,250 Invitations to Apply (ITAs), reflecting a strong focus on candidates with Canadian work experience.

The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) under Express Entry is designed for skilled workers who already have work experience in Canada.
To apply, candidates must have at least one year of full-time or part-time experience in the federal skilled work program in Canada within the last three years. The work must fall under TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 occupations.
Applicants must also meet minimum language requirements in English or French, depending on the job level. They should plan to live outside Quebec, as Quebec has its own immigration system.
Unlike some other programs, proof of settlement funds is not required for Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates. A valid Express Entry profile is required, and candidates are ranked according to the CRS. Those with competitive scores may receive an Invitation to apply in a CEC-specific draw.
