Canada has conducted its first Canadian Experience Class Express Entry draw in several weeks, bringing renewed attention to inland immigration candidates seeking permanent residency.
The latest CEC draw is an important update for temporary foreign workers and international graduates already living and working in Canada under the Express Entry system. Many applicants had been waiting for the return of category-specific invitations, especially as recent draws focused on other immigration streams.
The resumption of CEC invitations may signal stronger opportunities for candidates with Canadian work experience in the coming months.
Canada held a latest Express Entry draw on May 27, 2026, issuing 3,000 ITAs to Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates. The minimum CRS score was 518.
If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.
The table below highlights the Express Entry Canadian Experience Class draws conducted in 2026, including draw dates, CRS score cut-offs, and a total of 37,250 Invitations to Apply issued so far.

The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is one of the most popular immigration pathways under Canada’s Express Entry system. It is designed for the skilled worker and international graduates who already have professional work experience in Canada and want to apply for permanent residency.
The program focuses on candidates who have successfully adapted to the Canadian labour market and can contribute to the country’s long-term economic growth. To qualify for the Canadian Experience Class program, applicants generally need at least 1 year of skilled work experience in Canada within the past few years.
The work experience must fall under eligible TEER categories and should be gained through authorized employment. Candidates must also meet the required language proficiency standards in English or French.
One of the biggest advantages of the Canadian Experience Class program is that applicants do not need to show settlement funds if they are already working in Canada.
The program is widely preferred by temporary foreign workers and international students because it offers a faster and more direct pathway to Canadian permanent residency through regular Express Entry draws.
