Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held the second-largest Canadian Experience Class draw in history. This is the first CEC-based Express Entry draw of the year.
However, last year, Canada held 16 draws exclusively for the CEC applicants. The Canadian Experience Class draw issued 43,850 invitations to apply (ITAs) to applicants seeking Canadian PR.
If you received an Invitation to apply in this Express Entry latest draw, you must submit a complete permanent residence application to IRCC within 60 days. If you miss this deadline, your ITA will expire and can no longer be valid for this draw.
The Express Entry latest draw was held on January 07, 2025, issuing 8,000 invitations to apply (ITAs) with a minimum CRS score of 511 for CEC candidates.
Type of Draw: Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.
The table below summarizes the Express Entry draws announced so far in 2026, including the draw type, CRS score, and number of ITAs.
| Draw Date | Draw Type | Invitation to Apply | CRS Score |
| January 07, 2026 | Canadian Experience Class | 8,000 | 511 |
| January 05, 2026 | Provincial Nominee Program | 574 | 711 |
Canada's Immigration system uses Express Entry to manage skilled workers through three programs. The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is one of the programs.
The first step is to ensure you meet the eligibility criteria for the CEC or another Express Entry program. If you are eligible, you submit an Express Entry profile on IRCC's website.
Approximately every two weeks, IRCC conducts Express Entry draws that award permanent residence invitations to candidates with the highest CRS scores.
CRS scores are determined based on each candidate's human capital characteristics, including age, education, language skills, work experience, Canadian experience, and other criteria.
If you have received an Invitation to Apply (ITA) under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), you must submit your permanent residence application to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada within the given period.
After you apply, IRCC may request additional documents or schedule a biometrics appointment if required. Meeting deadlines and providing accurate information will help ensure your application is processed smoothly.
