IRCC announced its latest Express Entry draw on October 29, 2025. This draw specifically targeted candidates who demonstrated French language proficiency at CLB level 7 or higher across all four abilities: reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
Invitations were issued to eligible candidates from all three Express Entry programs: the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), and the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP).

Canada announced the latest Express Entry draw, issuing 6000 skilled French-speaking candidates with a minimum CRS score of 416.
If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.
In 2025, from February to October, Canada invited a total of 36000 French-speaking candidates through the Express Entry draw. This latest French language proficiency Express Entry draw is the 7th draw of the year.

French language proficiency is an important factor in Canada immigration system, especially for candidates applying through the Express Entry program. The Government of Canada encourages Francophone immigration to strengthen bilingualism and support communities where French is spoken outside Quebec.
Applicants who can demonstrate strong French language skills can earn additional Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points, thereby significantly improving their chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residency (PR).
