Anyone who meets the eligibility criteria under one of Canada immigration programs can apply for Permanent Residency (PR). The most common route is through the Express Entry system, which manages three major programs:

  • Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP): For skilled professionals with foreign work experience who wish to immigrate to Canada permanently.
  • Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP): For qualified tradespeople with experience in skilled manual work.
  • Canadian Experience Class (CEC): For individuals with at least one year of skilled work experience in Canada.

To be eligible, candidates must:

  • Have relevant work experience in a skilled occupation (NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3).
  • Meet the language proficiency requirements in English or French.
  • Possess educational credentials (Canadian or equivalent foreign qualifications).
  • Score high enough on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA).

Once an applicant receives an ITA through Express Entry Program, they can submit a complete application for Canada PR and take the next step toward building a new life in Canada.
