Canada has held the latest Express Entry draw for trades occupations, making it the second draw of the year.
However, applicants were required to have a minimum CRS score, which had dropped by one point since April. The draw highlights Canada’s ongoing efforts to maintain strong momentum in bringing skilled workers to the nation.
Additionally, this draw brings the total number of trade invitations issued this year to 6,500.
With cooks removed from the qualifying list, invitations are now being sent to a larger range of construction and industrial personnel. Key professions benefiting from this selection round would be welders, plumbers, equipment operators, and electricians.

Canada held its latest Express Entry draw under the Trades Occupations category (2026-Version 3), inviting 3,500 skilled workers with a minimum CRS score of 476.
If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.
To become eligible for a Trades Category draw, applicants are required to have at least one year of qualifying work experience within the past three years.
