Why Does this Express Entry Draw Matter?

This was the surprise given by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to the francophone candidates. They announced back-to-back rounds of French-speaking candidates in the previous months, which were August, September, and now October.

However, this draw is directly aligned with Canada immigration levels plan 2025–2027. In this plan, it is mentioned that they will invite approximately 29,325 French-speaking candidates who are going to reside in Canada.

The latest Express Entry draw was specifically for the francophone candidates. Invitations to apply to the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Canadian Experience Class, and the Federal Skilled Trades Program may be issued through this round of invitations. French-speaking candidates continue to receive the largest share of category-based invitations, a trend that is expected to persist through 2025.
