Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada( IRCC) conducted its latest Express Entry draw for CEC candidates on September 1,2026. The draw invited qualified applicants to apply for Permanent residency.
However, the minimum CRS score dropped to 521, two points lower from the previous CEC draw’s score of 523. Moreover, this marks the 15th CEC draw of the year.
The Canadian Experience Class( CEC) is especially made for the qualified professional with eligible Canadian work experience. It also includes foreign workers and international graduates.
The latest CEC draw demonstrates how applicants with Canadian work experience can use the Express Entry pathway to obtain permanent residency.
The latest Express Entry draw was held on September 1, 2026. In which 2000 candidates were invited under the Canadian Express Class( CEC) stream. Invited applicants must have a minimum CRS score of 521 to become eligible for an ITA.

If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.

Applicants who have received an ITA have to submit a complete permanent residence application using their Express Entry account. Applicants have 60 calendar days for the final submission.
However, it is crucial to arrange all relevant documents in advance, such as:
Missing the 60-day limit might result in the expiry of the invitation. This forces the applicants to re-apply for the Express Entry pool. As a result, applicants should carefully review their application requirements and fulfill the eligibility criteria before submission.
