IRCC held the latest Express Entry draw focusing on applicants under the PNP. The draw was held on July 21, 2025, issued 202 invitations for candidates to apply for permanent citizenship, moving forward with the trend of regular PNP-specific rounds of invitation.
The additional 600 points are generally given to applicants who secure a provincial nomination through an Express Entry-aligned stream and are shown in the 788 CRS score. An ITA would not have been possible with an 188 base score without this nomination.
Following the release of 356 applications with a 750 CRS cut-off score in a previous PNP draw on July 7 and 3000 ITAs with a 518 cut-off score in a Canadian Experience Class draw on July 8, this most recent Express Entry draw marks the third wave of invites for July 2025.

In 2025, PNP draws are ahead of the Express Entry program, with 13 PNP-specific draws already held, highlighting the provinces' vital role in selecting eligible immigrants who satisfy local labour market requirements.
The Provincial Nominee Program permits Canada’s territories and provinces (excluding Quebec and Nunavut) to choose applicants who are planning to move to Canada and would like to settle in a particular province.
Candidates who receive a provincial nomination are given 600 CRS points, securing an invitation to Express Entry rounds in the future.
This system helps the candidates with lower base CRS scores, who might not be eligible for Canadian Experience Class (CEC) or general draw rounds, but hold the necessary skills and qualifications that the province requires.
Throughout the year, the IRCC will conduct draws according to program and category. These include:
If you are in the Express Entry stream and have received an invitation from a province, this is a crucial time to monitor the subsequent rounds closely.
