Who is Eligible for a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) Express Entry Draw?

Applicants who are eligible for an Express Entry-linked PNP may be considered for a PNP-specific draw. To become eligible, candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria of the territory or province that nominated them and must have a valid Express Entry profile.

Candidates generally need to qualify for at least one of the federal Express Entry programs, such as the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Canadian Experience Class, or Federal Skilled Trades Program.

Moreover, they must satisfy the specific conditions relevant to the provincial stream, which may include:

  • Qualifications
  • professional work experience
  • language skills
  • Professions
  • Ties to the province.

However, getting a provincial nomination through the Express Entry linked stream gives applicants an extra 600 CRS points.

This can significantly boost their ranking and improve their chances of getting an Invitation to apply for permanent residence.
