Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has held its latest Express Entry draw under the French Language Proficiency category, marking the third draw conducted this week. This was the third Express Entry draw of August and the 30th invitation round conducted by the Canadian Government in 2025.
This category-based selection draw is part of Canada strategy to strengthen French-speaking communities outside Quebec by inviting skilled individuals who can contribute to the country’s bilingual workforce and cultural diversity.
The latest Express Entry draw took place on August 8, 2025, with 2,500 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) issued to eligible French Language Proficiency category candidates. The minimum CRS score required in this draw was 481.

Candidates who received an invitations in Express Entry latest draw now have 60 days to submit a complete application for permanent residence (PR) to Canada.ca website.
This invitation round may be used to send out invitations to apply for the Federal Skilled Trades Program, Canadian Experience Class, and Federal Skilled Worker Program.
With IRCC continuing to prioritize category-based draws, French-speaking candidates have an increased opportunity to secure permanent residency(PR) and contribute to vibrant Francophone communities across the Canada.
