Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) announced another Express Entry draw through the Canadian Experience Class (CEC).It was held on September 15, 2026 and marked as the 55th draw of the year.
However, the minimum CRS cutoff fell to 519 points, marking the second consecutive Canadian Experience Class draw with a decline. With a total of 128,732 invitations issued so far in the year. Express Entry has already surpassed previous year annual totals.
As of September 13, the candidate pool stood at 226,793, highlighting its continuous efforts to attract qualified professionals with Canadian work experience.
Canada held the latest Express Entry draw under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) on September 15, 2026 ,issuing 2,000 ITAs. The minimum CRS score was 519.
If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.

Across these 16 rounds IRCC has invited more than 53,250 candidates through the CEC stream. This represents more than 40% of all Express Entry invitations issued in 2026.

To become eligible for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), applicants must satisfy the following eligibility requirements:
Work Experience: At least one year of full-time skilled work experience in Canada, or an equivalent amount of part-time work experience, obtained within the three years before applying.
Eligible Occupations: The work experience must be in a profession classified under TEER 0,1, 2, or 3 of the National Occupational Classification (NOC).
Language Requirements: Candidates need to satisfy the following minimum Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) eligibility requirements.
Authorized Employment: The qualifying Canadian work experience must be obtained through legal authorized work in Canada.
Express Entry Profile: Applicants must have a valid Express Entry profile and satisfy CEC eligibility requirements.
