Newfoundland and Labrador draw issues 320 invitations through new EOI system

As part of the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP), the province of Newfoundland and Labrador has invited 320 individuals to apply under the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP). This is the fourth draw in the province's new Expression of Interest (EOI) process, which was introduced earlier this year.

Newfoundland and Labrador PNP Latest Draw: Results

The June 24, 2025, draw for Newfoundland and Labrador was designed to demonstrate the province's commitment to reconstruction and to attracting qualified foreign workers to meet its shifting population and labor market goals.

Out of 320 ITAs issued:

• 257 of them were via the NLPNP.
• 63 of them were under the AIP.

Focus of the June 24 Draw

Under this round of invitation, priority was given to candidates with full-time job offers in occupations that are in demand, especially to applicants who already lived in the province or were offered a job in underserved and rural communities. These targeted choices aim to encourage regional retention and economic development throughout Newfoundland and Labrador.

About the NLPNP and AIP

Newfoundland and Labrador have two major economic immigration programs that assist skilled workers, international graduates, and entrepreneurs to settle in the province permanently:

• Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP): Allows the province to select those individuals who can settle in Newfoundland and Labrador permanently.

• Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP): A federal-provincial cooperation aimed at the immigration of skilled workers to Atlantic Canada, which comprises Newfoundland and Labrador.

Enhanced Expression of Interest (EOI) System

The province officially introduced its new EOI system, required by all the economic streams of NLPNP and AIP, on February 19, 2025. Such salient characteristics are

• All applicants should fill out an EOI through the province's immigration accelerator platform.
• Non-Canadian applicants who apply through NLPNP or AIP must be invited with a code given by an employer in Newfoundland and Labrador.
• This invite code is not required by applicants within Canada who have a valid temporary status.
• EOIs are also valid for one year upon submission.
• 60 days are given to the shortlisted candidates to complete their applications.
• Getting an ITA is no guarantee of approval—candidates are still expected to fulfill all the requirements in the programs.
