Newfoundland and Labrador has conducted a new round of immigration invitations, continuing its efforts to attract skilled talent and address labour market needs across the province.
Through its immigration pathways, the province provides opportunities for qualified foreign workers and international graduates to build their careers and permanently settle in Canada.
This is the 7th draw of the year, inviting 1487 skilled candidates, including 1246 NLPNP and 241 AIP. The latest draw reflects Newfoundland and Labrador's ongoing commitment to economic growth by selecting candidates with the skills and experience needed in key sectors.
The latest Newfoundland and Labrador PNP draw, held on June 10, 2026, issued 108 invitations, including 89 under the NLPNP and 19 through the Atlantic Immigration Program.

Newfoundland and Labrador introduced the Expression of Interest (EOI) model in February 2025. This immigration selection process is more strategic and responsive to the needs of the labour market.
Under the two-stage system, candidates must first submit an Expression of Interest through the province’s immigration portal. The EOI includes key details such as occupation, education, and intention to live and work in Newfoundland and Labrador.
The Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism (OIM) reviews submitted EOIs and selects candidates whose profiles best align with provincial priorities. Selected individuals receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA), allowing them to submit a complete application under the Newfoundland and Labrador PNP (NLPNP) or the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP).
Applicants who receive an ITA have 60 days to submit their full application. EOIs remain in the selection pool for up to 12 months and may be considered in future invitation rounds.
The model enables the province to prioritize candidates in sectors facing labour shortages, support regional economic needs, and distribute immigration spaces more effectively throughout the year.
