How Do NLPNP and AIP Help Applicants Get Canada PR?

The Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) and the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP), offer pathways to Canada PR for qualified applicants, although both streams have different application processes.

Under the Newfoundland and Labrador PNP steam, skilled professionals generally require a qualifying job offer or full time job from an employer in Newfoundland and Labrador, along with the necessary education and other eligibility requirements.

Further, applicants submit an EOI and can apply after getting an ITA. Candidates nominated through the Express Entry linked stream get 600 additional CRS points, helping them to receive an ITA for PR.

Whereas, the AIP is an employer driven federal program for skilled workers and eligible international graduates. Candidates must have a job offer from a recognized employer in one of Atlantic Canada’s four provinces.

The process consists of obtaining a settlement plan and provincial endorsement before submitting a PR application to IRCC.
