The Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) is designed to attract skilled workers, international graduates and entrepreneurs. They can contribute to the province’s economy and settle permanently in Newfoundland and Labrador.
The program helps local employers address labour shortages by selecting candidates with skills and experience aligned with provincial workforce needs.
The Newfoundland and Labrador PNP offers several immigration pathways, including the Express Entry Skilled Worker, Skilled Worker, International Graduate, International Entrepreneur, and International Graduate Entrepreneur categories.
Many streams require a valid job offer from a Newfoundland and Labrador employer, while others align with the federal Express Entry program system. It can allow successful candidates to receive additional CRS points toward Canada PR.
Applications are generally submitted online through the province’s immigration portal, and selected candidates may receive a provincial nomination to apply for permanent residence with IRCC.
The program continues to play an important role in supporting economic growth and attracting skilled talent to Atlantic Canada.
