Newfoundland and Labrador has opened the pathway for candidates who wish to apply for the Canada PR. Once again, they have taken a proactive step in attracting global talent. The province invited a new batch of skilled workers and international graduates under the NL Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) and the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP).
This move aims to fill critical labour shortages and strengthen the province’s growing economy.
Both programs offer a streamlined pathway to Canadian permanent residency, providing skilled professionals with the opportunity to live and work in one of Canada’s most welcoming provinces.
The latest Newfoundland and Labrador PNP draw held on November 12, 2025, issued 330 invitations, including 220 under NLPNP and 110 through the Atlantic Immigration Program.

The Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) invites skilled candidates who can meet the province’s labour market needs and contribute to its economy.
Skilled workers, international graduates, and professionals with experience in high-demand sectors can apply under various streams, including the Skilled Worker, Express Entry Skilled Worker, and Priority Skills NL categories.
Eligible candidates must first submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) through the NLPNP online system, outlining their qualifications, work experience, and intent to live in the province.
Based on labour market priorities, education, and expertise, high-scoring candidates are then invited to apply (ITA) for a provincial nomination. Once nominated, they can apply for Canadian permanent residency through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
This streamlined process helps Newfoundland and Labrador PNP attract skilled professionals who can support its growing industries and contribute to regional development.
