About the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP)

The Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) helps the province and territories identify labour market requirements by inviting qualified professionals, eligible entrepreneurs, and international graduates.

However, successful nominees can apply for permanent residence in Canada and live in the province with their friends and family.

The program offers different pathways:

• NLPNP Express Entry Skilled Worker
• NLPNP Skilled Worker
• NLPNP International Graduate
• NLPNP International Graduate Entrepreneur
• NLPNP International Entrepreneur
• NLPNP Atlantic Immigration Pilot

Each category has its own eligibility criteria and application requirements.

Under the current Expression of Interest (EOI) system, applicants must first submit an EOI through the province’s online portal. An EOI remains valid for 12 months, but submitting one does not guarantee an Invitation to Apply (ITA).

Candidates selected through the EOI system receive an ITA and must submit a complete application within 60 days.

Through regular selection rounds under the NLPNP and Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP), Newfoundland and Labrador continues to welcome skilled and qualified immigrants who can contribute to the province’s labour market and economic growth.
