Date: June 29th, 2021 | Number of Notification of interest issued: 148 | CRS Scores: 302
The Alberta provincial nominee program (AINP) issues notification of interest to applicants in the express entry pool with the least Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores of 302. However, the lowest CRS score of 2021 to receive a provincial nomination from Alberta is 300. Having said that these candidates can now fulfill their dream of moving to Canada by applying for a provincial nomination through its Express Entry aligned stream.
As compared to the previous two Alberta PNP nominations, there has certainly been a dip in the number of notifications of interest issued and the CRS score is also gradually rising.
A total of 2,432 candidates from the Canada express entry system have been invited by the province ever since the recourse of invitation rounds in January 2021 after its temporary halt in the mid-2020.
An aggregate of 6,250 nomination certificates was issued in 2021 inclusive of all the Canada immigration pathways. While everyone applying through the Alberta provincial nominee program may not be invited as they won't be eligible to meet the requirements of the province but a majority of them find their new home in Canada if the province identifies their skillsets relevant to their employment market.
How does the Alberta Express Entry Stream work?
If you have a profile in the Canada express entry pool, you might just be able to test your luck as the Alberta Express Entry stream allows the provincial authorities to seek out candidates from the federal government's Express Entry system. The prerequisite however is that you need to have a profile created in the Express Entry system.
Though it is possible to migrate to Canada through express entry but having a provincial nomination however increases your chances of elevating your CRS scores exponentially. Having a provincial nomination yields 600 additional points to your already existing CRS Score.
Suppose if you have a CRS score of 302 (based on the present statistics for receiving a nomination), having a provincial nomination can give you 302+600 = 902 CRS score which is more than enough to be invited to Canada immigration.
Who is eligible for Alberta Express Entry Stream?
The basic criteria for Alberta aligned express entry program is that you need to have the required work experience in an eligible occupation within the province. The AINP has its own predefined set of occupations, which means normal regular jobs eligible for the Canada Express Entry System may not qualify for this stream.
A Majority of applicants under the stream comes from Food Service Supervisors, Transport Truck Driver, and Cooks, etc.
The focal point of the PNP is to boost its provincial economy.
