The Alberta Advantage Immigrant Program continued its aggressive immigration strategy in May 2025, conducting nine targeted draws and issuing 470 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for permanent residency in Canada.
These Alberta Latest draws commitment to addressing local labor market needs across key industries. Candidates were invited from various streams as agriculture, construction, healthcare, tourism and hospitality, aviation, and tech pathways. The minimum scores for selection ranged from 51 to 76.

Candidates who received invitations must submit a copy of their AAIP invitation letter and the required documentation within 2 weeks of being invited. Failure to respond within the deadline will result in the invitation becoming invalid.
In 2024, Alberta issued a total of 9,942 nominations, with over 85% going to Temporary Foreign Workers (TFWs) already residing in Alberta. For 2025, Alberta has been allocated 4,875 nomination spaces by the federal government. As of now:

Alberta Advantage Immigrant Program nominations lead to eligibility for Canadian permanent residence, with final decisions made by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
Currently, 80% of AAIP applications are processed within 8 to 10 months.
