Prince Edward announced another unscheduled draw. It was a complete surprise for candidates who want to apply for Canada PR through the Prince Edward Island PNP.
The Prince Edward Island PNP aligns its immigration pathways with federal immigration targets, application volumes, and the province’s labour market priorities.

However, it’s important to note that submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) is not a formal application, but rather a way to express your willingness to be considered for the PEI PNP. The Office of Immigration also reserves the right to limit the intake or exclude certain occupations from EOI draws as needed.
The latest Prince Edward Island PNP draw, held on October 27, 2025, issued 159 invitations under the Labour and Express Entry categories required for selection.

Prince Edward Island released their 11th draw of the year under the Labour and Express Entry Stream. But in this draw, PEI PNP did not issue any invitations for the Business Work Permit Entrepreneur category, and it also does not have a specific minimum threshold. With this round, the total number of invitations for 2025 has reached 1239.

The PEI Provincial Nominee Program is one of Canada's most important immigration pathways, allowing the province to nominate skilled workers, entrepreneurs, and graduates for Canadian permanent residency (PR).
Through regular PEI PNP draws, the Office of Immigration invites candidates who meet the province’s labour market and economic needs. These draws typically target applicants from the Labour Impact and Express Entry streams, focusing on those with skills in high-demand sectors such as healthcare, trades, manufacturing, and IT.
To participate, candidates must first submit an Expression of Interest (EOI), outlining their qualifications, work experience, and ties to PEI. The highest-ranking profiles are then invited to apply for provincial nomination.
Receiving a nomination from PEI adds 600 additional points to a candidate’s Express Entry CRS score, greatly improving their chances of being invited to apply for Canada PR.
The PEI PNP draw process helps ensure that the province attracts newcomers who can fill critical skill shortages and contribute to the island’s long-term economic growth.
