The latest draw brings the total number of invitations issued to 1,541 by PEI
The immigration draw for PEI (Prince Edward Island) was placed on October 21. As a result, 204 immigration aspirants were asked to seek a provincial nomination under the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP). The bulk of invites i.e., nearly 195, went to Express Entry and Labour Impact candidates. The remaining nine invites were given to Business Impact candidates with at least 72 points in the province's immigration system. This is Canada's marine province's eleventh Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw of the year, increasing the total number of invitations given this year to 1,541.
PNPs allow Canadian provinces and territories to choose immigrants who meet their labour market needs. This is true on Prince Edward Island, which administers the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) in accordance with federally recognized standards. The next PNP draw for Prince Edward Island will take place on November 18, 2021. The PEI PNP Express Entry Category is a supplemented PNP, tied to the federal government's Express Entry system. Candidates must have a profile in the system to be considered for this stream. Express Entry is a service that manages immigration applications.
Get a Free Express Entry Assessment
It handles applications for the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program, and the Canadian Experience Class, all of which are economic immigration programs. Eligible applicants are assigned a CRS score depending on their age, employment experience, education, and proficiency in English or French. Express Entry candidates who are nominated by a province receive an additional 600 points on their CRS score and are almost certain of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence in the next Express Entry lottery. To qualify, candidates must create an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile with the PEI PNP.
The province's particular points grid is used to assign points to EOI profiles. Candidates with the best scores are then invited to monthly draws. Foreign nationals with a reasonable job offer on Prince Edward Island, are eligible for the Labour Impact Category. The three tracks are Skilled Worker, Critical Worker, and International Graduate. Candidates must additionally submit an Expression of Interest to be considered for a provincial nomination in the Labour Impact Category.
Candidates in the Business Impact Category must meet the provincial minimum score threshold to proceed with their applications. Every draw has a unique score. The Work Permit Stream, which is for foreign entrepreneurs who want to own and operate a firm on the island, was utilized to deliver the invites in this draw.
